Billions of people worldwide have fallen into this scheme.
It is where you make someone else rich by working 40+ hours a week for 40 years and then try to retire on 40% of what you couldn’t afford to live off in the first place.
This scam is commonly known as “a Job.”
A quick note: This is not your random motivational article. I am fed up with this useless crap.
The only goal of this article is to kick you in the ass and get you started asap.
Now let’s look at something which can both scare and motivate you. The graphic below represents your life if you live for 90 years.
Remember that reaching 90 isn’t guaranteed, especially if you eat junk food and do not exercise. Let’s break your fictional 90 years long life into months.
It looks a little better now, but we are somewhere on this chart already. You are probably in your late twenties or early 30s? Time flies.
Years pass like snaps of a finger. One snap and an entire month is gone; another one and 1 year have passed already.
I don’t want to make you sad but motivate you instead. To create a better life.
Tomorrow can be the first day of your Life.
Even better, this could be today.
What Do You Want?
Yes, you, stop for a minute and think about what you want. Forget society’s rules and what the cool guys say.
Do you like what you are studying at the university right now? Do you like your job or your life at all?
There comes a time when you ought to start doing what you want. Take a job that you love. You will jump out of bed in the morning.
I think you are out of your mind if you keep taking jobs that you don’t like because you think it will look good on your resume. Isn’t that a little like saving up sex for your old age?
Warren Buffet
Visualize the life you want and get it. Break free from the prison life is building slowly around us every day.
What is Your Passion?
Your passion is what you love most. If you didn’t found it yet, keep searching.
Don’t put money before your happiness.
You don’t need to work even a single day when you do what you love.
“Yes, I’ve made a great deal of dough from my fiction, but I never set a single word down on paper with the thought of being paid for it … I have written because it fulfilled me.
Maybe it paid off the mortgage on the house and got the kids through college, but those things were on the side—I did it for the buzz. I did it for the pure joy of the thing. And if you can do it for the joy, you can do it forever.”
Stephen King
You Can
Read this aloud now: “I can do this. I refuse to lose!”
Silence the inner voice of self-doubt, the only thing blocking your way to success. Fear is an illusion.
Defeat the fear and take the first step.
Do you remember the man whom doctors said he would never walk again?
Have you heard the incredible story of how Brandon Gaille defeated cancer twice and created a blog with million visitors?
I got chills at the moment just thinking about it.
These guys defeated severe physical problems and even DEATH. What is your excuse?

We live in a crazy era when you can work as a well-paid freelancer from any place in the world, or you can find funding for your business idea with crowdfunding platforms in weeks.
I don’t know your dream, but I am sure you can make it a reality. Put your heart and soul, and you will succeed.
Confidence Booster
The lack of confidence could be a big hurdle. Your good mood is a start.
- Eat foods that will make you happier.
- Exercise daily – it makes us happier.
- Meet people who lift you up and avoid the ones who bring you down
- Kill negative thoughts instantly. When you get one, replace it immediately with something positive.
- Just DO IT!
Create Goals
Create daily, weekly, and monthly goals with strict deadlines. Your time is your greatest asset.
It costs $10,000 per hour. Plan it well. Your progress will motivate you to move forward.
You will also need a long-term plan and a safety net.
For example, if you decide to quit your job and pursue your passion, securing enough money to cover your basic needs for at least 6-12 months is a good idea.
Persistence
There is no such thing as overnight success or easy money. If you fail, stand up and try again. Here is the inspirational speech Rocky Balboa gave to his son.
The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows.
It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it.
You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard you hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward.
How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done!
Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth.
But you gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you!
You’re better than that!
The Real Heroes Create Time
I’ve got news for those of you who keep saying, “I don’t have the time” – There is never enough time to do everything.
You must dedicate your time ONLY to the most important things.
For starters:
- Get up an hour earlier
- Use your commute time
- Ditch pointless time-wasters such as TV or social media for more than a few minutes daily.
- Try to work from home
You need to learn how to manage your time. There are tons of proven systems and hacks out there.
Stick to what works best for you. I use the Pomodoro technique, and as far as I can tell, the results are excellent.
You could also try the “Touch It Once Hack,” which will save you time dealing twice with small tasks.
Put a deadline for every task because, according to Parkinson’s Law “work expands to fill the time available for its completion.”
Use time-tracking apps to keep an eye on how you spend your time and to find out if there is room for improvement.
Automate every repetitive little task possible. Services such as IFTTT or Zapier.com will help you with that.
Take regular breaks. Working longer hours without a break will decrease your productivity.
Courtney Seiter from Buffer will teach you about The Science of Breaks at Work.
Motivation Amplifiers
Motivation helps us to do things better and faster. Find what motivates you most and use it to amplify your motivation when you are short of it.
This could be reading motivational quotes, listening to music, watching a video, visiting a place, an exercise, a talk to a friend, etc.
Use these amplifiers to keep moving forward.
Habits
You need to build daily habits which will help you to make progress.
For example, my newest habit is to get up at 5 a.m. and to write for FortuneLords.com for 2-3 hours.
The article you are reading right now is written early in the morning.
Start small and increase the energy and time you invest gradually.
James Clear created a great guide you can use when you want to build a new habit.
I use a simple method called – “Don’t Break The Chain.”
- Get a big wall calendar
- Start to mark every day you complete your tasks
- After a few days, you will have a chain
- Your only job is not to break the chain!
Whatever you do, remember one thing:
